Julie Woods is an inspiration. Her story was clear. There is help out there for people with sight impairment and with the right attitude much is possible and new friends can be found. Her "why not" theme (the subject of her book) kept her audience (us) involved and her memory of the trip to Paris (with husband Ron) to recognize Louis Braille who established
the method of allowing blind people to read. Along with 450 other participants from 46 countries she acknowledges the system that opened the door of knowledge to those who could not see.
Julie has not done snow skiing but has refereed a nude Touch Rugby game and presented a "Cooking without Looking" on local Access Radio.
A talk we all greatly enjoyed, spoken completely from memory.
