Grant MacLennan is one of two duty managers who oversees the day to day running of the not for profit multi – purpose Community House facility, offering meeting venues and workspaces for over 21 organisations including Rotary Dunedin. Between the two managers they are allocated 30 hours a week to control and organise the smooth running of Community House, however at times this is a big ask. The Community House building is located in the heart of the city at 43 Princes Street and located on floors 1,2 and 6.

Dunedin Community House offers a comprehensive office space solution, complete with high – speed WIfi, printing services, professional meeting rooms, and a functional kitchenette equipped with coffee and tea facilities. In addition to offering offices for long term lease they provide hot desks for rent by the hour, daily or longer terms and make meeting rooms available to suit the needs of any client. Community House also encourage collaboration, connection and community building within the tenants encouraging them all to work together in their vibrant collective working space.

Grant says that as managers they are freely available to support tenants and groups to overcome problems that may arise in the daily running of a business in these tough and tricky economical times. Dunedin Community House has also been involved with the Dunedin Community Christmas Dinner for many years. Grant mentioned the many volunteering opportunities associated with this positive event for Dunedin people.

At the conclusion of Grant's talk, President Elect Bruce Collier thanked him and offered one our Rotary Pens! It was interesting to know that Grant and Bruce had once known each other in the Scouts.
