Mick Field was a significate contributor to the success of the West Harbour Recreational Trail project carried out by our Rotary Club. Mick had retired as a Landscape Architect and senior manager with the DCC. He was seconded as a volunteer to the project by our project leader Darrel Robinson. Mick carried out much of the research into the history of the harbour basin which was translated onto information boards along the trail. Also using his skills he provided graphical concept designs for the landscaping of the trail along with planting plans and plant selection. He would be seen onsite many Saturday mornings with Darrel and the project team. Our Club owes a debt of gratitude to Mick Field.
A private cremation has been held.
