Waitakere Rotary's changeover of leaders earlier this month marked the club's 50th anniversary and a major turning point for an organisation with a traditional membership of middle-aged, and ageing, Pākehā businessmen.Kriddles Roberts, the surprising new president of Waitakere Rotary, has an extraordinary story - born into the gang life, experiencing homelessness, starting a charity and now joining a "bigger machine".
