Our speaker on 6 June 2019 was Jane Ludemann. 

Jane was diagnosed with ovarian cancer two years ago at the age of 32 and she told us about her life prior to her diagnosis of cancer, her fight with the disease, and her story in creating an initial charity. 

Jane is a young woman who has everything to live for. She has a mathematics degree and works as an optometrist. She has been a keen tramper, half marathon runner and rock climber. As well as this Jane has been a competition debater.

Updated Lunch Menu Coming Soon
Cobb & Co have refreshed their menu for the year ahead - there is some new options along with some price tweaks to existing meals. This new menu and pricing will commence from Thursday 20th June. The new menu can be viewed here.
District Governor Changeover Brunch 
Members are invited to the District 9980 Governor Changeover Brunch on Sunday 30th June 2019. This will be held at 10.30am for 11am at the South Otago Town & Country Club, 1 Yarmouth St, Balclutha. Come and celebrate as our year of inspiration flows into a year of connections. Brunch is $20 (buffet style). Please reply by

Choir Concert Offer
Do you enjoy male voice singing and great variety concerts?
 
To celebrate its Centenary Year, the Dunedin RSA Choir is offering a limited number of 2019 subscriptions at special rates.  This includes two tickets for each of the the Town Hall Concerts in August and November for $35.00 (normal price $100.00).  Contact David Ojala for information.
Charity Dinner - save the date!
A Charity Dinner is planned for Saturday 22nd June. Venue is Blacks Hotel in Ophir. A 5 course dinner is planned with Emersons beer to match. Other highlights will include a magic show from Jonathan Usher and music from professional guitarist Luke Flanders. Tickets will be $120 a head, and for those who wish to stay overnight a reduced accomodation rate of $125 a room including breakfast for two will be available. Funds raised will benefit  Camp Quality who support children living with Cancer in Otago. Contact Ron Mackintosh for more information.

  1. Pay for your meal when you arrive by cash or EFTPOS. If you cancel by 5pm Wednesday you will not have to pay.

  1. A range of coffees and teas are available to purchase at the restaurant.
