At her first club meeting as President, Anna Thomas (proudly wearing the President's chain) discussed the Rotary Club of Dunedin objectives for the 2024/25 year. Anna outlined six Areas of Focus: * Fellowship / Engagement / Have Fun * Build collaborations between Rotary clubs, other service clubs, corporate organisations, and relevant identities to undertake projects that provide the best impact for our communities. * Strengthen our youth focus and initiatives to improve the uptake in Rotaract and Rotary membership by young people involved in Rotary Youth Programmes and those sponsored for other activities. * Build Rotary’s ‘environment’ focus with projects that strive to protect and enhance our natural environments.
* Encourage the establishment of new club models and membership types that will allow more people to connect and take action in ways that work best for them.
*Help members understand the role and place of The Rotary Foundation and encourage support both in donations to, and in the use of district & global grants for projects.
