Rotary Christmas Dinner
Our Club Meeting this week will be the last one of the year and will be Christmas themed!
Please invite partners and friends to join us.

We will enjoy a Christmas Message from Salvation Army Captain Rob van Abs; have a Christmas recital from our own President John;  and a special Christmas quiz.
The usual meal options will be available along with the option of a Christmas Pudding on the two or three course set meal options. These can be viewed here.

2020 Welcome Back Event
To kick start the new year we will be doing something a little different in January... instead of the usual BBQ we will visit the Otago Museum for their newest exhibition.
Opening soon is the unique 'Museum of Broken Relationships exhibition'. The Museum of Broken Relationships (MoBR) is an original, internationally acclaimed museum, conceptualised by artists and founders, Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić. Its mission is to provide a virtual and physical public space, with worldwide presence and global reach, to connect people through stories of love and loss.

On Saturday 18th January at 12.30pm we will meet in the cafe for a quick bite to eat and then go through and enjoy the exhibits - some examples are shown below! Note this exhibition is also free!

4 Barrels Wine Tour 2020
The 4 Barrels Wine Tour in Cromwell is coming on Saturday 22nd February 2020!
This club SOCIAL event is booked once again. An awesome day of great fellowship, fantastic food and awesome wines.
We have 3 generous hosts in Jonathan, Andrew and Lisa who are happy to entertain and share their beautiful homes. They are even happy if you turn up on the Friday night.

Join us on the Saturday for a Brunch; wine tasting; a Mediteranean styled lunch to die for; more wine tasting and an exciting evening meal event at the Stoker Room.
Please contact Brian Daniels (bdancher@hotmail.com) and confirm your numbers.
Rotary Youth Exchange Blazer Presentation
Rotary Dunedin was pleased to present a Blazer to Sydney Scott ahead of her forthcoming Rotary Youth Exchange to Austria!
Who am I - Katie Slaughter
The Club were treated to an enjoyable snapshot of our own Katie Slaughters life with a brief 'Who am I' talk at Thursday's club meeting. Katie has had an interesting career in marketing which keeps leading her back to Dunedin and enjoyable work currently with Walsh & Beck serving a variety of clients.
Give a Coffee – a freshly roasted promotion & random acts of kindness club project!

Please give $5 for a coffee at your next lunch meeting*

Why: To help to raise the profile of Rotary Dunedin and make someone’s day

How: We will contact and ask selected cafe owners around town to be on board with this project. The funds raised will be used to buy coffees at these cafes. Cafes will  give away the coffees at random  to lucky café customers on the selected day of the promotion.  We will organise media publicity in advance, and on the day along with  information on café tables about what we do at Rotary to encourage people to think about joining the club.

When: the free coffees will be offered to random customers at the selected cafes on a pre-determined day in Feb 2020.

*Thanks to those who got the fund raiser started on 31 Oct. We will be fundraising throughout November until our Christmas meeting. Our target is $250 min.  Please ask your friends, associates, colleagues etc. to give a little too.

Contact Fiona Nyhof or Carmen Houlahan if you have any questions, or want to  donate outside of club lunchtime meetings.
