Please register/RSVP for this weeks meeting
This week our Club is hosting the Tasmanian Professional Development Exchange team to present. We are extending a special invitation to all local Rotarians to attend our meeting and thus would appreciate if everyone who is attending can register via the link below. This will enable enough tables and chairs to be set out regardless of meal orders. Note this is for the 02 May meeting only, and you will still need to order a meal separately in the usual way if you would like one.

Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust
At the lunch time meeting on Thursday 18th, we welcomed Denise Kent and Carolyn McMillan to speak about Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust.

This was initiated seven years ago by Corinda Taylor following the death of her son. She called a public meeting to gauge interest in setting up some form of support after finding the mental health “system” sadly lacking. These efforts snowballed and resulted in a petition to parliament, eventually culminating in the Mental Health Inquiry which reported to Parliament in December 2018 with a predicted outcome and report from the Health Minister in April or May of this year.

    Trees for Families
A reminder that the Trees for Families event is coming up shortly in May. For more information check out the flyer.

As well as the opportunity to plant a tree for someone in your family on this special ‘Keep Dunedin Beautiful’ occasion, we (City & Community) will be digging the holes for the trees (up to 50) on Sat May 4th at 1pm at the West Harbour walkway from the Rowing club entrance on Magnetic st, and we’d love to have volunteers come and help us (especially a good idea for those who want to help out after attending the Ocho visit!) For more info contact Fiona Nyhof.
Ocho Chocolate Factory Tour & Tastings
Places are still available for the Ocho Chocolate Factory Tour & Tasting - learn about chocolate making right from where cacao is grown to how it is crafted into bars. Walk inside the factory and see the OCHO team roast, grind, temper and wrap chocolate by hand. Taste the difference between cacao from Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Fiji and walk away feeling good about craft chocolate. Limited to first 20 people and RSVP's close 01 May 2019.

RSVP by registering here. And if you need any help contact Cameron (0212922790 or email).
    Anna's Wishlist
Anna our Rotary Youth Exchange student still has a number of things she would love to tick off her Wishlist. We invite any member that is travelling or doing something Kiwi to consider inviting Anna along.
