Members are encouraged to attend Thursday lunch meetings whenever they can. They are an opportunity for fellowship, to hear interesting speakers, and to catch up with our Club activities.

 

       28 September: Hugh O’Neill: How I became a Harbour Board Pilot 

 

This two week Forum, based at the University of Auckland each January, is a programme aimed at high achieving, well-rounded science, maths and technology students in Year 12 at New Zealand Secondary Schools who will be returning to Year 13 and who are planning to study science or technology subjects at tertiary level in New Zealand.
Last January the Club assisted Ronglei Sophia Liu from Logan Park High School to attend the forum. In summary she tells us "the 2023 RSTF was a marvellous success and experience. I am very thankful to my school’s Head of Science (Dr Murray Thompson) for nominating me to the Forum, the Dunedin Rotary Club’s sponsorship, and everyone at the Forum who accompanied and assisted me along the journey".
