Stories
Last Weeks Speaker: John Stenhouse
John believes that there is no single reason that fewer people are joining "voluntary" organisations but that Cultural, Economic & Social factors all contribute and reinforce each other.

Changeover
Changeover will be held on Thursday 24 June at "The Petridish Function Centre" (Stafford St)

The theme for the evening will be "Scottish" so everyone is encouraged to join in the fun and wear a "scottish" item!

This years format will be a "sit-down meal" comprising a Roast Dinner with options for Vegetarians/Vegans/Gluten Free people. Beverages can be ordered from the bar.

Start time: Arrive from 5.30pm for 6pm start, intended finish by 7.30pm.

Cost $30 per person. Partners welcome!
Payment by cash or Eftpos - pay at door please (not through Petridish)

RSVP by 17th June along with any dietary requirements to Lynne Guy lguy@nzsta.org.nz please.

Semi-Annual Dues:
Semi-annual dues are based on recorded membership as at 31st December & 30th June respectively, and the Club is levied by Rotary International based on these numbers.  This levy also includes a charge for your monthly magazine.  Any changes to your membership status needs to be processed by Rotary International before 31st December or 30th June.  To avoid the situation of the Club having to pay RI levies where a member retrospectively resigns, the Directors have agreed that Club semi-annuals will be invoiced in December for the January to July period and in June for the July to December period.  It is hoped that the earlier invoicing will encourage members who are reviewing their Rotary involvement to reach a decision prior to the cut-off date, to avoid the Club incurring the cost.
