A photo in last weeks bulletin related to a project where six Community Projects group members, two spouses, two children and three Rotaractors gathered to bake nearly 250 Anzac biscuits (20 bags), bag them and prepare labels with messages of appreciation, on Sunday 7th November. They were distributed to the chaplaincy services at the two tertiary institutions and the hospital the next day.The campus chaplains offer pastoral care and spiritual support for all students and staff at the University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic. They provide support for people of all faiths and none.
In May, the Club Trust gave a grant to the tertiary chaplaincy service at the University, some of which is used to provide free refreshments to students using the Upper Room which is a drop in area for students, and base for the chaplains at the University.The chaplains in turn, put up a great thank you to Rotary sign, which has our Rotary brand logo, our club website and the new QR code which links to it. This is a nice ‘win win’ for everyone concerned!
