Club Centennial
Our club is 100 years old next year and the Centennial committee has identified several possible projects/events to mark the occasion, which President Cameron recently circulated by email. It would be appreciated if you could respond to the questionnaire by Thursday (21/4/22) to allow discussion at the next Board meeting.
Last Weeks speakers - RYLA

Our speakers were our three 2022 RYLA participants, Caitlin Wong, Michael Jolly and Kaitlyn Gillium. Each of them obviously thoroughly enjoyed, and benefited significantly from their RYLA experience.

Highlights they mentioned included…

  • An unexpected early awakening (4:30 AM) to see the sunrise from a Queenstown hill;

  • the experience of meeting and working with people with similar motivation and energy;

  • making connections with others from throughout New Zealand;

  • the total RYLA experience moving from scary to life-changing;

  • a common highlight seen to be working at a community garden;

  • discussions on what leadership is, who is a leader, and how to be a leader;

  • learning how to work with teams, and as part of a large group;

  • and participating effectively  with people from different backgrounds, different life experiences, and with different personalities.

Each participant was very grateful for the opportunity that Dunedin Rotary had given them.

Otago Rally
Last weekend several Rotarians assisted as marshalls on the Whare Flat stage of the Rally. The orange vests in the background of the photo above are some of our club members!!.
