He began by describing what an "archive" is, and what he as an "archivist" does. David then gave a fascinating presentation on three archives in the Hocken – the 2 nd archive was about Lance Richdale who started out with a background in teacher of agricultural studies but ended up as one of NZ’s foremost Ornithologists who was instrumental in setting up the sanctuary for Albatross on the Otago Peninsula. A third Bike Repair Station has been installed as part of the Town and Country Group project. The latest site is at Vauxhall (near the Harbour Golf facility).
